IK4-IKERLAN has reinforced its positioning as an international benchmark in the sphere of embedded systems at Embedded World 2015, the biggest event dealing with these technologies. At this event, held in Nuremberg (Germany) from 24 to 26 February, the Centre displayed its offer and its development capabilities in this field to the main companies, suppliers and R&D centres from all over the world involved in embedded systems.
IK4-IKERLAN took advantage of the presence of the most important organisations in the sphere of embedded systems to showcase its experience and knowhow as well as its high-level capacity for developing innovative, products that are competitive on a world level. It displayed various examples of developments it is carrying out with customers in sectors like transport, energy, vertical transport and industrial capital goods.
Specifically, the R&D centre displayed its capabilities in high-dependability electronic systems for critical applications, those whose breakdown would have serious consequences from the point of view of people safety or due to their economic repercussions.
The assessment of the Centre’s representatives is clearly positive: “Embedded World 2015 has been the best showcase for displaying our capabilities in the sphere of embedded systems,” said the IK4-IKERLAN researcher Carlos Canto.
“It is a top event which enabled us to show our capabilities to a public that is objectively interested in them,” he added.
“Many of our top customers in this area went to Nuremberg, which confirms that their strategic interest in embedded systems remains high,” said the Centre’s researcher David González. “We also compared our offer with that of the leading R&D centres across Europe and we saw that it is competitive,” he concluded.
In line with the data published by the organisation, this edition of Embedded World 2015 has been the most successful in its history as it achieved record figures: it was attended by 902 exhibitors and 25,500 visitors from 70 countries.
