We are a leading technology centre in the transfer of knowledge and the contribution of competitive value to companies. At the same time, we are a non-profit cooperative and form part of MONDRAGON Corporation, one of the largest cooperative groups in the world. We are also members of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA).

It is the experience you will live at IKERLAN from the moment you join our team. You will obtain professional and personal development specifically designed for you with great care, so that you can progress in your career while you enjoy your colleagues and experience moments beyond the strictly work-related.

What is the selection process like?

On this site of our website, you can find all the information about the phases and the selection process of IKERLAN.

Can I apply for a job at IKERLAN if I am a foreign national?

Yes, it is perfectly possible. Talent has no nationality. In fact, there are currently people from different countries in our teams. If this is your case, we will help you to carry out all the administrative procedures that we can. It is important to bear in mind that the procedures and requirements for hiring foreigners may vary depending on the country and the labour legislation in force. Regarding the work visa, we accompany you in the processing of the application and in the delivery of the documentation. We must also make sure that your qualifications and educational certificates can be validated in Spain. In all of this, we will be at your side. Finally, the selection process will be the same for foreign and national candidates.

What requirements do I have to meet to join IKERLAN?

If you want to join one of our research teams, you must have a technical university education (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics...), with a minimum of a master’s degree. It is not essential that you have a PhD to join us. If you want to join our general services team, the minimum requirement is a university degree in the subject related to the offer. Here you can consult the educational requirements of the specific job offers.

How does IKERLAN promote the development of talent?

As a leading technology centre, we not only focus on technological evolution but also on the value of human capital. At IKERLAN, we have an individualised development system in which each person, together with their leader, is the protagonist of a tailor-made plan for their technical, professional and personal growth.

Is it necessary to know Basque to work at IKERLAN?

No, it is not an essential requirement. At IKERLAN we are 100 % committed to our culture and identity, and we value and encourage the use of Basque. And this is reflected in many initiatives and in the opportunity for our employees to learn the oldest language in Europe. But, at the same time, we promote an inclusive and respectful working environment, where cultural diversity is valued and protected.

Is it possible to work in full-remote?

The work modality at IKERLAN is hybrid: it is possible to work up to two days remotely and, in addition, add another day from the sites closest to your home. Remember that we currently have sites in Arrasate, Bilbao and Donostialdea.

I am a student and I am looking for an internship, a final project or a master's degree. What should I do?
