The Basque technology centre IKERLAN will present its capabilities in the development of high added-value solutions for the wind energy sector during the next edition of the Wind Europe Conference & Exhibition event, held from 2 to 4 April at the Bilbao Exhibiton Centre, in the Basque municipality of Barakaldo.

Under the slogan Win Wind, the organisation will be present at the event with its own stand in hall 1-C22, within the area coordinated by the Basque Country Energy Cluster.

“At IKERLAN, we support companies in the wind energy sector during their technological development and we have a proven track record in collaborating with benchmark companies in the sector. Our presence at Wind Europe will be an opportunity to present our success stories to the visitors and share with them our abilities to integrate various technologies such as the structural reliability in the design of components and structures, control algorithms, electronic systems and control and monitoring systems, monitoring and validation technologies and digitisation solutions geared towards servitisation", assures Xabier Sagartzazu, manager of the technology centre's Energy and Power Electronics and Advanced Manufacturing units.

The event, the most important meeting in Europe's wind energy sector, will allow us to get to learn about the latest trends in an industry facing key challenges such as developing machines at competitive costs that ensure reliability, guaranteeing the lifespan of the machines currently in operation and continuing to move forward in the commitment to servitisation and after-sales service in the sector.

IKERLAN shall present the results of its latest research projects through the technology lectures included in the Wind Europe conference programme and will demonstrate its expertise at its stand in design technologies of wind turbine components and structures, wind-turbine and wind-farm control, electronic systems and control and monitoring systems, monitoring and validation technologies, and methodologies oriented towards improving the operating and maintenance processes.

In addition to these technologies, it will present the capabilities of its IKERLAN Konnekt platform, the digital value proposition integrated with solutions for the industrial digitisation of the organisation.

“IKERLAN Konnekt digital solutions are adapted to the specific needs of the business fabric and have been successfully implemented into industrial applications in sectors of high demand such as capital goods, transport and of course power generation", said Unai Viscarret, Director of IKERLAN's Electronic Information and Communication Technologies Department.

The interested media will be able to find out about IKERLAN's value proposal in the wind energy field at its stand in hall 1-C22, within the area of the Basque Country Energy Cluster.
