Juan María Palencia elected new president of IK4-IKERLAN

The Management Board has named Juan María Palencia new president of IK4-IKERLAN, replacing his predecessor, Iñaki Aranburu

At the meeting held on 23 May, the Management Board went through the renewal process and named the new president of the Technological Centre at Arrasate-Mondragón. Juan María Palencia, vice-president of the CHP Automotive Division of the MONDRAGON Corporation and, at the same time, vice-president of Innovation, Development and Knowledge of the Corporation, has been elected president of IK4-IKERLAN, taking up the role which up to now has been held by Iñaki Aranburu.

Juan María Palencia, Industrial Engineer, graduate of the Bilbao School of Engineering, started his career with the MONDRAGON Corporation in 1987, at Fagor Ederlan. After working in innovation and improvement, he became manager of an aluminium plant in 1992. In 2001, he became part of the Management of Fagor Ederlan and in 2008, he was named vice-president of the CHP Automotive division. Since 2015, he has combined this latter role with the vice-presidency of Innovation, Development and Knowledge of the Corporation.

In addition, at the meeting, the representatives of the companies which form the Management Board of IK4-IKERLAN have also been renewed. The members of the new board are:
