The technological centre IK4-IKERLAN, together with the companies Irontec and CodeSyntax, has reached to an agreement with Fagor Automation in order to work together on improving the connectivity of their machines and the simplification of their interfaces. These are two very important aspects to consider for the adaptation of machinery to Industry 4.0, according to the company from Arrasate-Mondragón, one of the world leaders in the manufacturing and development of automation and control products for machine tools, grants great importance for the adaptation of machinery to the industry 4.0.
Throughout the next two years, the four entities will cooperate in improving the connection of the machines through web technology, facilitating then hyperconnectivity and allowing remote control from any place in the world through mobile devices or tablets.
They will also put their efforts on making the control and visualisation systems of the Fagor Automation machines more simple and intuitive. The idea is transferring the revolution experienced by user interfaces in the digital world to the industrial environment, which has brought technology closer to users that are less familiar with it.
Also, this partnership will contribute towards generating synergies between the four entities and will aim to favour a continuous flow of knowledge between them. In this way, they intend to reinforce their corresponding position within the industry 4.0 arena.
