Abstract:
The requirements and demands that batteries have to cover are constantly increasing. Therefore, effective control and management is crucial for assuring a safe use of the battery with the best life performance. Despite the fact that in practical applications the diagnosis and prognosis of the State of Health (SOH) is absolutely needed they are not yet effectively implemented. An extensive work is still required to develop an accurate and applicable diagnosis tool. In this regard, this thesis is focused on developing on line, accurate and efficient SOH estimation algorithms for being implemented in any application.
