Cyber-secure communication system for emergency calls and teleservice

Challenge

Orona needed a communication system among its different lifting facilities and the call centre that protected the data transferred and complied with international regulations.

Solution

In collaboration with Orona, in IKERLAN we have developed a distributed embedded architecture of systems with IoT connectivity (Internet of Things) for communication between the different lifting facilities and the ORONA call-centre. The system allows to make emergency calls and provide remote teleservice in compliance with the international regulations. In addition, it allows to set up a cyber-secure IoT platform consisting of thousands of nodes to provide new eConservation services.

Customer benefits

Orona now includes in its catalogue, lifts with remote alarm systems in compliance with the international regulations for vertical transport rescue. In addition, it has an architecture with embedded systems with security mechanisms and modular designs.

Through the M2M Multiregion platforms (dual / quad-band) and the multi-operator, Orona can perform the monitoring and the remote control of the parameters of these lifts in a cyber-secure manner, protecting the data stored and anticipating the errors that could arise.
